Final exams and end of semester testing scores are weighted

We get asked a lot about testing and the importance of test scores in relation to a student’s learning.

By prepping early for tests, students are reviewing material and learning it-no question. Its when students cram the night before that they don’t learn the material and get “test anxiety”.

Last minute cramming does nothing but stress the student and rarely does it help improve their scores.

Exams are weighted scores often counting 20-25% towards their overall grade in the class. Why waste an opportunity to radically improve in a class grade by waiting until the last minute to prepare for what counts the most in class? A poor test score is much harder to undo than a poor homework score.
